The Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism (CFDR) is hosting its next Courageous Conversation titled “Discussing, Educating and Informing on DEI” on Tuesday, October 24, at the Kenosha Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave, Kenosha. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Marvin Bembry, a certified leadership trainer, coach, and organizational consultant, will lead the 90-minute session. Bembry, president of MKB Leadership Transformation, brings over 25 years of leadership experience across various industries including corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Bembry emphasizes the critical importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in fostering stronger and more resilient communities. “By embracing diversity, communities grow stronger, more resilient, and gain a sense of belonging and mutual understanding,” Bembry said. “Equity ensures everyone has access to the same opportunities and resources, which builds trust, reduces disparities, and strengthens the overall sense of community.”
Alicia Greene, a founding member of the Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism, encourages community members to join the Courageous Conversation, regardless of where they stand on DEI efforts. “It’s a great opportunity to discuss, to become educated, and to be informed,” Greene said.
This Courageous Conversation is part of an ongoing series aimed at promoting understanding and fostering dialogue on key social issues. The Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism is committed to creating a more just, connected, and thriving environment for everyone.
