Celebrate everything that makes Racine’s waterfront special during Racine River Fest on Saturday, Aug. 1, an all-day festival at multiple locations along the scenic Root River featuring activities, entertainment, food, and family fun throughout the morning, afternoon and evening.
Whether you’re participating in one of the day’s activities, enjoying the variety of dining options throughout the day by the water, or simply taking in the festive atmosphere, Racine River Fest offers something for every age and is the perfect way to experience downtown and the Root River.
Morning Events
- 8:00 – 11 AM: Breakfast Buffet at the 5th Street Yacht Club.
- 9:00 AM: Cardboard Boat Race building begins at Harbor Lite Yacht Club.
- 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Racine Farmers Market at Festival Park
- 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Root River 5K! Starting at Festival Park. Lace up your shoes for a scenic run.
- 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Dinghy and Boat Display at Riverside Marina.
- 10:30 AM: Rubber Duck Race at the 5th Street Yacht Club (purchase a duck to participate!).
- 11:00 AM: Food Trucks are available at Harbor Lite Yacht Club
Afternoon Activities
- 2:00 PM: Cardboard Boat Race begins! Team up for this fun and innovative competition. Sign up at racinecardboardboatrace.com. @ Harbor Lite Yacht Club
- 2:00 PM: Racine Regatta @ Racine Yacht Club.
- 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the 5th Street Yacht Club: LIVE MUSIC rock and roll! “Old School Fuel”
Evening Festivities
- 4:00 PM 6:00 PM: Tito’s Tasting Tent at the Chartroom
- 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Culinary Adventure & Live Music! Local businesses along the Root River will showcase their signature dishes and vibrant music at various locations, offering a delicious peek into Racine’s culinary scene. Support various charities while you indulge!
- 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Chartroom Restaurant and Caitlynne Curtis and Indigo
- 8:30 PM: Venetian Night Boat Parade “Take me to the river” showcasing dazzling illuminated boats.
