Last year’s street festival attracted 23,000 people from Racine, Kenosha and Sturtevant (calculated through geo-fencing), with over 12 lively blocks filled with five stages of live music, a large assortment of food and drinks (downtown restaurants and 40+ food trucks), shopping (downtown merchants, arts and crafts and retail/commercial) and nonprofit booths. Other features include a classic car show, mini-German Fest, disc golf, axe throwing, BMX stunt teams, hip hop and breakdance battles and Mexican dance performances.
Based on a participant survey, 83 percent of vendors reported that sales and/or engagement were either as expected or higher than expected. The average amount spent per attendee during the event was $85, part of the $1,125,741 in direct spending downtown during the event.
Downtown Racine Corporation is currently accepting vendors for the 2026 event in following categories: Downtown Merchant (brick & mortar business in Downtown Racine), Arts & Crafts (handcrafted items only), Food Vendor (anything consumable – food and drink), Retail/Commercial and Nonprofit (a W-9 for the organization will need to be provided). The first Party on the Pavement took place in 2003 to celebrate the extensive road work on Main Street between Seventh and State streets. The event has continued through the years because it gives the community a chance to come together to celebrate all the wonderful aspects Racine has to offer.
