The Ecofest team is thrilled to announce its upcoming event “Tending Our Roots” on Saturday, March 25th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gateway Technical College (GTC) Racine Campus located at 1001 S. Main St. This event is a celebration of Racine’s environmental action and aims to bring the community together to learn and engage in sustainable practices.
The event will feature eco-friendly exhibitors who will showcase their products and services that promote environmental sustainability. Local experts will also present on topics such as composting, renewable energy, and sustainable living. Visitors can participate in hands-on activities for kids that teach them about sustainability and the environment.
One of the most exciting aspects of Tending Our Roots is the free electronics recycling provided by GTC. Visitors can bring in their old and unwanted electronics for safe and responsible disposal. Additionally, there will be an eco-art exhibit featuring works by local artists who use recycled materials to create their pieces.
