City of Racine and DRC to Host Brewers World Series Watch Party on Monument Square

Today, the City of Racine, and Downtown Racine Corporation (DRC) are excited to announce we will be hosting a watch party on Monument Square for the Milwaukee Brewers World Series games. The City last hosted such watch parties for the Milwaukee Bucks when they won the national championship in 2021. Thousands of people turned out to watch the Bucks beat the Suns in 6 games.

“I am very excited to invite our residents to Monument Square to show their support and cheer on for our Milwaukee Brewers. Creating inclusive, celebratory spaces for the community to gather is really important to me as Mayor. For the Buck’s championship victory in 2021, the thousands of City residents turned out to watch and celebrate the Bucks. It is my hope that we can bring that energy back for the Brewers starting this Friday night at 7pm,” said Mayor Cory Mason.

“Creating opportunities for people to gather, connect and experience Downtown Racine is at the heart of our mission. We hope the Watch Party brings people downtown to support our local businesses, enjoy our community and cheer on the Brewers together during what we hope will be a historic World Series run,” said DRC Executive Director Kelly Kruse.

According to Major League Baseball, all games in the series are scheduled to start at 7:00pm central time, on October 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, and 31. Food and beverage vendors will be on site to support the event. Two 20-foot projection screens and audio will broadcast the game live. While some seating will be provided, the public are encouraged to bring their own chairs and dress appropriately for the weather. Please note that the drive on Monument Square will be closed to traffic.

The City of Racine has received the express written consent from Major League Baseball to host watch parties for each game of the world series.
