The Downtown Racine Corporation (DRC) invites the community to an evening of inspiration, celebration, and connection at its annual State of the Downtown Address and Downtown Achievement Awards on Tuesday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Red Onion Café, 555 Main St., Racine, and is free and open to the public.
The evening will feature the State of the Downtown Address, offering an in-depth look at recent business growth, capital improvements, and the economic impact of downtown events. Attendees will also get a first look at new initiatives planned for 2026, including the unveiling of an upcoming public art project.
In addition, DRC will announce the 2025 Downtown Achievement Award recipients, selected from more than 60 nominations. Awards recognize outstanding contributions to downtown Racine in the following categories:

Remarks will be delivered by Kelly Kruse, Executive Director of the Downtown Racine Corporation, and Austin Schultz, DRC Board Chairman, who will acknowledge the individuals, businesses, and organizations whose vision and dedication continue to move downtown Racine forward.
“This event is about celebrating progress, honoring commitment, and sharing a vision for the future,” said Kruse. “Downtown Racine’s success is driven by passionate people, and this evening recognizes their impact.”
Guests are invited to network with community leaders, business owners, and residents while enjoying complimentary drinks and appetizers.
