First Friday – Summer Bash Friday, June 6 | 4pm-9pm

First Fridays are back and better than ever. Join us for the second First Friday of the 2025 season on Friday, June 6, as Downtown Racine transforms into the ultimate Summer Bash. From live music and food to a citywide art crawl and the unveiling of a brand-new public art project, this event offers something for everyone.

OFFICIAL PUBLIC ART UNVEILING

This First Friday will feature the official unveiling of the 2025 Downtown Public Art Project, showcasing 30- 6’ tall metal kites created by Gateway Technical College welding students and painted by local artists. The kites will be displayed throughout Downtown Racine as part of this interactive installation.

Attendees of all ages can participate in a kite-themed scavenger hunt. Complete the form and receive a $5 Downtown Gift Card. Forms can be downloaded at racinedowntown.com or picked up at locations throughout downtown, including the Downtown Racine Corporation office at 425 Main Street. Many artists will be stationed near their kites, offering the public a chance to learn more about their work and creative process.
