Annual Downtown Racine Holiday Parade Lineup Announced

The annual Downtown Racine Holiday Parade and Tree-lighting Ceremony is on Saturday, November 9th.

The parade will begin at 5:30 pm starting at the West side of the State Street bridge, it will continue down Main Street to 6th Street, and travel West on 6th Street and end at City Hall. This year’s parade marshals is the Racine Special Olympics. The Parade will end at approximately 6:45 pm. The Tree-Lighting Ceremony on Monument Square will follow the parade at 6:50 pm, where Santa Claus will light the Holiday Tree.

Holiday singers and entertainment will perform before and after the parade. Pre-parade festivities will start at 4:45 pm carolers singing some Christmas favorites. The performers will do a few more songs after the parade, as well.

Don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa, as Postal workers will be collecting them along the parade route to deliver to the North Pole.

“This event brings the community together to celebrate the season, while shedding light on the phenomenal holiday shopping and dining options downtown offers. I encourage you to bring the entire family, come early for a bite to eat and stay to watch us officially light up downtown’s holiday tree.” -Kelly Kruse, Executive Director at the Downtown Racine Corporation.

Festival Foods has always been a strong supporter of Downtown Racine and, again, they are our Holiday Tree Sponsor. Parade goers will be sure to see the Festival Food’s ‘largest shopping cart in the state’ rolling down Main Street at the beginning of the parade.
