Downtown Racine Celebrates Four Grand Openings with Ribbon Cuttings on Friday, August 2

The Downtown Racine Corporation is thrilled to announce the grand openings of five new businesses in downtown Racine. These businesses represent a diverse array of offerings, showcasing the dynamic and vibrant nature of our district. Join us in celebrating these exciting additions with ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Friday, August 2 during First Fridays.

• 12:00 PM – Midwest Boaters Club

Owners Corey and Coran Coleman invite you to celebrate the opening of their new business, which offers jet ski, paddle boat, and kayak rentals. Situated northeast of the Main Street bridge on Dodge Street, Midwest Boaters Club provides an exceptional boating experience on beautiful Lake Michigan and the Root River. With a top-of-the-line fleet and experienced staff, they guarantee a safe and enjoyable time on the water.

• 1:00 PM – Bridge Tender Tavern

Location: 303 Dodge St. Owners Ken, Sheryl, and Dan Kaiser have opened Racine’s newest waterfront tavern. Bridge Tenders Tavern offers a variety of beers, cocktails, and pub food, making it a perfect spot to unwind by the water.

• 4:30 PM – Vintage and Modern Books

Location: 415 6th St. Owners Heather and Adam Novotny have created a unique bookstore that blends vintage charm with modern sensibilities. The store features a mix of traditional shelving and vintage furniture, including bookcases and dressers filled with books. They offer affordable prices and a carefully curated selection of collectible books.

• 5:00 PM – Unraveled

Location: 614 6th St. Owners Rachel Jarvis, Rebecca Sattler, and Ellen Bashore welcome fiber crafters of all ages and abilities to their new fiber arts supply shop. The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:00 PM, followed by a night of raffles, a meet-and-greet with the staff, snacks, and refreshments.
