County Executive Samantha Kerkman, Kenosha County Parks Director Wyatt Moore, and other
stakeholders will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated playground at Old
Settlers Park on Thursday, June 11.
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Old Settlers Park and will celebrate recent accessibility
and safety improvements to the park’s playground area.
The updated playground includes accessible features such as a wheelchair transfer slide and
rocker, along with Kenosha County Parks’ first-ever poured-in-place playground surfacing. The
new surface provides smooth, roll-on access to help ensure children of all abilities can safely
enjoy the space.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests are invited to stay for the opening night of the 2026 Rhythm
on the Lake concert series. The evening’s free concert will feature 90s Jake Band performing
from 6 to 8 p.m.
Rhythm on the Lake takes place every Thursday from June 11 through Aug. 13 at Old Settlers
Park and features live music in a family-friendly outdoor setting.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or
blankets for the concert.
Old Settlers Park is located at 24100 75th St. (Highway 50) in Paddock Lake.
