Kenosha County will host its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to noon
this Saturday, Nov. 7, County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced.
This free community event will be held in the commons area at the Kenosha County Job Center,
8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D. Doors will open at 8:30.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy a free breakfast, sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home, to
celebrate and honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served in the U.S. military,
Kerkman said.
In addition to the breakfast, which will be served at 9:15, the event will include military honors,
the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, and a brief program at 9.
A resource fair with informational vendors and free haircuts provided by Gateway Technical
College student barbers will be available throughout the morning.
“Kenosha County is again proud to help kick off the year’s Veterans Day ceremonies and
programs with our celebration on Saturday,” Kerkman said. “I look forward to seeing many
veterans and honoring them at the breakfast and at the many events to follow in the coming
