New Downtown Murals to Launch Kenosha Murals Project 2026 Season

Following a successful inaugural season in 2025, the Kenosha Murals

Project will officially launch its 2026 season with a public announcement event at 5:30 p.m. on

Tuesday, May 26, at Church & Market, located at 701 56th Street in Downtown Kenosha.

During the event, organizers will unveil plans for two new large-scale murals that will further

expand public art throughout downtown Kenosha. Media and community members will have

opportunities for interviews and photo coverage during the announcement event.

One mural will be installed on the second-floor west-facing exterior wall of Church & Market, 701

56th Street. The second mural will be located on the north-facing wall of White Lilac at 5029 6th

Avenue.

 

“We’re excited to continue bringing vibrant public art to prominent spaces throughout downtown

Kenosha, ” said Francisco Loyola, project coordinator for the Kenosha Murals Project.

“These murals help transform everyday spaces into landmarks that reflect the creativity, culture, and

energy of our community.”

 

 

The Kenosha Murals Project was created to enhance the city through public art while fostering

community pride, supporting artists, encouraging tourism, and creating a more vibrant

downtown experience for residents and visitors alike.

 

Organizers hope to complete at least five additional murals throughout downtown Kenosha by
