The 23rd “Bowls & Books” Soupfest Contest will be held at the Rhode Center for the Arts, 514 56th Street, on Wednesday, March 25th. Eight restaurants will be serving from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and eight different restaurants will be serving from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. People coming to the event receive a score card and a commemorative bowl provided by Copy Center. The attendees go from table to table, tasting, enjoying and scoring the soups. Where else can you eat that many soups in one sitting?
The Soupfest has a $20.00 adult admission fee, both at lunch and supper servings – $15 seniors (65+) and students (up to 12). You will receive a signature cup and lots of soup.
There will be local authors sharing time and talent – with their books for sale. The Spring art show/contest will be on display in the Pollard Gallery. We will hold 50/50 drawings during the events.

Waterfront Warehouse & La Fogata – Cheesy Potato

Church & Market – Creamy Chicken & Poblano Pepper
Coopers Uptown – Chicken Chili Verde
El Camino – Pozole
Fin & Ale – Buffalo Chicken with Ranch Dumplings
Mr. Yee’s – Hot & Sour
Twisted Cuisine – “Twisted” Italian Wedding
Union Park Tavern – Creamy Reuben
All proceeds go toward the continued renovation of the Rhode Center for the Arts. Renovation has been an ongoing effort for the last 30 plus years.
