Kenosha County Veterans Resource Fair is Nov. 1

Many other Veterans Day events to follow

Kenosha County will host its annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Nov. 1.

This free community event will be held in the commons area at the Kenosha County Job Center, 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a free breakfast, sponsored by Piasecki Funeral Home, to celebrate and honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served in the U.S. military, Kerkman said.

In addition to breakfast, which will be served at 9:15 a.m., the event will include military honors, the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, and a brief program at 9 a.m.

A resource fair featuring informational vendors and free haircuts provided by Gateway Technical College student barbers will be available throughout the morning.

“It’s an honor to celebrate with our veterans and their supporters at this event every year, and it’s a wonderful kickoff to the series of ceremonies and programs that follow on Veterans Day and in the days leading up to it,” Kerkman said.
