The first large-scale mural to be implemented this year is underway as part
of the Kenosha Murals Project.
The mural will be located on the large wall at First National Bank building at
625 57th St in Downtown Kenosha. Thanks to the generous contributions of
Rust-Oleum, IUPAT District Council No. 7, and JDR Painting, this large wall is
set to be primed on Thursday, May 15. The mural will be painted starting on
June 1st.
The Kenosha Murals Project aims to bring vibrant public art to the city of
Kenosha, fostering community engagement and beautification. The goal of
the project is to have nine complete murals in Downtown Kenosha by the
end of the summer.
“We are thrilled to partner with Rust-Oleum, IUPAT District Council No. 7, and
JDR Painting to bring this project to life,
” said Francisco Loyola, project lead.
“These murals will not only enhance the city’s aesthetic but also provide a
launching platform for local artists to showcase their talents.
“
