Celebrate the holiday season while supporting a local treasure! Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary & Arboretum will host its annual Holiday Boutique and Bakery Fundraiser on Saturday, December 7th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds from the event will directly support Hawthorn Hollow’s mission to preserve and enhance its natural spaces for community enjoyment and education.
This year’s event is made possible thanks to generous in-kind sponsors: Creative Designs Custom Signs, LLC (Scott Shumway), who provided event signage, and Alpaca Art’s Becky Sterba, who lent her artistry to create Hawthorn Hollow’s very first “Happy Hollow-Days” photo stand-in sign.
Attendees can look forward to browsing and purchasing hand-crafted wreaths, swags, and other holiday décor made from greens harvested directly from Hawthorn Hollow. Fresh-cut greens will also be available for those wishing to create their own holiday masterpieces. In addition, the event will feature a delightful selection of homemade cookies, cakes, candies, and other treats—perfect for holiday gatherings or gift-giving.
Families and children will enjoy special activities, including free photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., a children’s craft station, and face painting. Adding to the festive ambiance will be the comforting aroma of chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
Admission to the event is free, though donations are graciously accepted to support Hawthorn Hollow’s ongoing efforts.
