Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman invites bicyclists of all ability levels to
participate in the annual Fall Wheel Ride to Petrifying Springs Park on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
The ride will begin at Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave., at 9 a.m., with participants making their
way along the Lake Michigan shoreline before heading west toward Petrifying Springs Park.
The route covers approximately 7.8 miles each way and highlights some of the most scenic
views Kenosha County has to offer. The Kenosha/Racine Bike Club will help guide riders along
the course, with local law enforcement assisting with traffic control along the route.
Upon arriving at Petrifying Springs Park, participants are invited to gather at the Petrifying
Springs Biergarten, where Kenosha County Parks will provide a complimentary light breakfast
and refreshments.
“The Fall Wheel Ride is a fun way to get outside and enjoy our beautiful lakefront and parks,”
Kerkman said. “I encourage bicyclists of all experience levels to join in and celebrate the start of
fall in Kenosha County.”
Around 11 a.m., riders will be encouraged to make the return trip to Kemper Center together,
though participants may also depart from Petrifying Springs Park on their own.
