Downtown is the place you’ll want to be to kick off your star-spangled holiday weekend with A Red, White and Blues themed First Friday event on July 3, from 4 pm to 9 pm. This award-winning event brings thousands of locals and tourists together for a themed celebration of the Racine community each month.
Bring along your appetite, dancing shoes and fun money to experience downtown at its finest. Merchants, restaurants, and bars are not just opening doors; they’re rolling out the red carpet, curating a shopping and dining experience.
Take your pick of over 40 restaurants, including Italian, Mexican, Asian, Greek cuisine and more.
International Blues performer Ivy Ford Band will take the stage on Monument Square from 5:30-8:30pm. Crosswalk Park will host Night Wing at 5pm and then Titus, Rench & Wheary at 6pm. The multiple food trucks and vendors on Monument Square will provide additional food and shopping options.

Those wanting to take on a new challenge are invited to the Porter’s lot on 6th Street for Axe Throwing hosted by Hold My Beer.
For the younger set, the Kids Zone located on the Sam Johnson Parkway will offer interactive activities, including face painting and glitter tattoos.
The Creative Crawl will once again offer artist demos and hands-on activities at Artist Gallery, Racine Art Museum, Hot Shop Glass, and Photographic Design Studio and Framing.

Parking is conveniently available at the Lake Avenue Ramp (300 Lake Avenue), Civic Centre Ramp (501 Lake Avenue), and the McMynn Ramp (120 7th Street) or Shoop (Main & State) for an all-day rate of only $4.00.
