We are pleased to announce that Downtown Racine will host Day #2 of the 11-day bike race series, Tour of America’s Dairyland, on Friday, June 19, 2026. The race, aptly named the Monument Square Grand Prix due to its course surrounding the square, will bring hundreds of cyclists to the area for a jam-packed day of racing. Juniors, amateurs and pros will all compete in different race lengths to take home the top spot on the podium throughout the day.
Races begin at 11:15am on June 19th, continue all day, with the last race ending around 8:15pm. Roads will be closed around the race course starting at 8am. All roads will be open to traffic by 10pm. Please note that parking will be unavailable on the streets within the course. Street parking outside the course will be available, along with parking ramps in the downtown area. Restaurants, bars and shopping in the Downtown will be open for business and look forward to the influx of not just racers but their cycling teams, families and fans. This will be a major sports tourism event for Racine.
The Community Ride will begin at 6pm and last for about 30 minutes. All kids and local residents that want to bring their bike and ride on the same course as the racers are welcome to do so then! This part of the day is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Racine County, and we hope to see the course filled with little riders!
Tour of America’s Dairyland (ToAD), owned and operated by Midwest Cycling Series, is the largest competitive road cycling series in the US. It hosts 11 straight days of racing throughout Southeast Wisconsin. The tour started in 2009 and extends the legacy of multi-day bike racing that first started in Wisconsin in 1969. Racine is honored to be a part of this beloved event.
