Kenosha County Association for Home and Community Education Announces 5th Annual Families Branching Out Expo

The Kenosha County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE) is proud to announce its 5th Annual Families Branching Out Expo, a day dedicated to community connection, family fun, and education. This free event will take place on Saturday, April 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kenosha County Center, located at the northeast corner of Hwys 50 and 45 in Bristol.

The Expo is designed to be a completely non-commercial event—there will be no solicitation or selling—ensuring a stress-free environment for families to explore over 45 diverse exhibits and engaging activities.

Event Highlights Include:

For the Youth: A free backpack of goodies for attendees, free hot dogs and chips for kids, and appearances by a fire truck and the Bookmobile.
Health & Safety: On-site child ID services, vision screenings, and a demonstration by the Sheriff’s K-9 Unit.
Interactive Fun: Opportunities for “Make & Take” projects, Kenosha HCE craft sessions, and reading time with the County Fairest of the Fair.
Community Engagement: Numerous handouts, raffles, and giveaways throughout the day.
In addition to the main Expo, the event will feature the “Safe Kids/Strong Families Run Walk,” sponsored by the Prevention Services Network. Those interested in participating in the run/walk should contact the Prevention Services Network directly at 262-697-4689.

The event also supports broader community initiatives, including information on the Drug Take-Back Program in Kenosha County. Attendees are encouraged to help feed the local community by bringing a non-perishable food item to be donated to The Sharing Center.

“We look forward to welcoming families to the 5th annual Expo,” said the event organizers. “It is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together for a day of learning, safety, and fun.”
