Downtown Racine is trading its winter blues for Irish green as the 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade marches into town on Saturday, March 14th, at 12:00 PM (Noon). Thousands are expected to line the streets for this signature community celebration, packed with festive floats, live music, energetic dance performances, and the best of Irish cheer.
The excitement begins as the parade steps off at the corner of State Street and Main Street, proceeding south on Main Street, turning west on Sixth Street, and concluding near City Hall. This year’s impressive lineup features over 35 participants, including local favorites like the Racine Raiders, the lively sounds of McCauliffe’s Pub Irish Music, and numerous community groups showing their spirit.
“The St. Patrick’s Day Parade officially marks the return of major community events and the anticipation of spring in Downtown Racine,” says Kelly Kruse, Executive Director of the Downtown Racine Corporation. “After 18 years, this tradition remains a vital way to bring everyone together to celebrate our culture and community.”
The fun doesn’t stop when the last float passes! Following the parade, Downtown Racine’s bars and restaurants will roll out exclusive St. Patrick’s Day food and drink specials. From authentic Irish fare to perfectly poured pints, celebrate all day long.
