“Indgenous Ways of Knowing About Wisconsin’s Tribal Nations” is the topic for a free Badger Talks presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1st at the Kenosha County Center, 19600 75th St, Bristol.
The talk is being sponsored by KCAHCE (Kenosha County Association for Home and Community Education).
Dr. Annie Jones, a professor at the University of Wisconsin Extension, will provide an introduction to Wisconsin’s Tribal Nations and explore some key concepts of the Indigenous world view. Participants will leave with their own personal action plan for engaging with Native American people and communities that will be developed using a Native American medicine wheel.
Jones, formerly of Kenosha, previously worked at University of Wisconsin Extension in Kenosha County. She is an organization development specialist and tribal nations liaison.
