22nd Annual “Bowls & Books” Soupfest Contest Set for March 26 at The Rhode

The 22nd annual Bowls & Books Soupfest Contest returns to the Rhode Center for the Arts on Wednesday, March 26. This beloved community event features 16 local restaurants competing in a friendly soup showdown while supporting the ongoing renovation of the historic Rhode Center.

 

Attendees will receive a scorecard and a commemorative bowl, provided by Copy Center, to sample and rate an array of delicious soups. Eight restaurants will serve at lunch (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM), with another eight different restaurants serving at supper (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM).

 

Admission & Tickets

 • Adults: $20 per session (lunch or supper)

 • Seniors (65+) & Students (up to age 12): $15 per session

 • Includes a signature cup and unlimited soup tastings!

Lunch Session (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM):

 • 24’s Rumors Lounge – Chicken Corn Chowder

 • Frank’s Diner – Swedish Meatball Stroganoff

 • Kaiser’s Pizza and Pub of Kenosha – Toscana

 • Ono Kenosha – Kabocha Soup (Japanese Squash)

 • Public Brewing Company – French Onion

 • Ruffolo’s Pizza – White Chicken Lasagna

 • Villa D’ Carlo – Lasagna Noodle

 • Waterfront Warehouse & La Fogata Mexican Grill – Chicken Tortilla

 

Supper Session (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM):

 • Captain Mike’s – Smoked Turkey & Pepper Jack Cheese

 • Century Pub & Eatery – Pickle Soup

 • Church & Market – Zuppa Toscana

 • Coopers Uptown – Bacon Chicken Pot Pie

 • Kenosha Tap House – Beef Barley

 • Rustic Road Brewing Company – Chuck’s Cheesesteak

 • Twisted Cuisine Catering – Creamy Vegetable

 • Union Park Tavern – Irish Cheddar w/ Brown Bread Croutons

 • Local authors showcasing and selling their books

 • The Spring Art Show & Contest at Pollard Gallery

 • 50/50 raffles held throughout the event

 

Proceeds Support Rhode Center Renovations

 

All proceeds from Bowls & Books go toward the ongoing renovation of the historic Rhode Center for the Arts, a restoration effort spanning over 30 years.
