24th Annual Public Art Project: A Kites Wonderland – Artists Wanted!

Downtown Racine is about to get a whole lot more colorful this summer! The Downtown Racine Corporation (DRC) is hosting its 24th annual public art project, and it’s going to be an open-air art gallery from June to mid-September. You’ll see these amazing metal kites flying all over the streets, and it’s going to be a real treat for the eyes.

The DRC is teaming up with Gateway Technical College’s Welding Program to design and make these kites. This partnership is all about bringing the community together and giving students a chance to learn something new and exciting.

This annual art project has been a favorite in Racine for years. People from all over come to see the city’s creative side, and these kites are sure to take it to the next level. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for some fun this summer, you’re going to want to check out Downtown Racine’s open-air art gallery.
