A revamped website tool is simplifying and centralizing how property owners throughout much
of Kenosha County can pay their property taxes online, County Treasurer Teri Jacobson
announced today.
The new payment system can accept taxes payable to the county treasurer’s office and to all
municipalities in Kenosha County except for the City of Kenosha, which retains its own system.
“It’s much more of a one-stop shop than it used to be,” Jacobson said. “Where you used to have
to go to the county website to look up your tax information and then go to one of a number of
third-party sites to pay your bill, all of this can now be accomplished in one place on the county
website.”
The new system is part of a recent upgrade to the county’s Property Inquiry system, which
allows the public to access tax records, property ownership information, building data, and more.
This site is accessible at https://propertyinfo.kenoshacounty.org/Login.
Once there, users simply click the blue Guest sign in button and they can search for a property by
address or parcel number. Once in a property record, selecting the “Taxes” tab will allow users to
view, print and pay both current and delinquent property taxes. A link to detailed payment
instructions on the new online bill-paying process appears on the Property Inquiry landing page.
Those who choose to pay electronically will be charged a 3 percent fee for credit card
transactions, or a flat $1.50 fee for e-check transactions.
Unlike the county’s previous online payment system, users can view in real time when their
payment is pending and when it is fully processed.
