The Annual Downtown Racine Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on Saturday, November 9th! The parade festivities kick off with the Holiday Parade at 5:30 pm, beginning on the west side of the State Street bridge, continuing down Main Street, turning west onto 6th Street, and concluding at City Hall around 6:45 pm. Reefpoint Brew House, CNH Industrial, and Twin Disc, Inc. are this year’s proud presenting sponsors. Immediately following the parade at 6:50 pm, join us on Monument Square where Mayor Mason and Santa Claus will light the holiday tree, sponsored by Festival Foods.
This year marks the fourth year of a dazzling fireworks display, generously sponsored by Educators Credit Union and Grand Appliance and TV, adding a memorable sparkle to the evening.
Pre-parade festivities will begin at 4:45 pm on Monument Square, with live holiday music by carolers and bands from Horlick Brass Quartet and Park High School Ensemble. singing seasonal favorites. Performers will continue after the parade, bringing more holiday cheer to attendees.
Holiday Window Decorating Contest: Starting on the day of the parade, stroll through Downtown Racine and vote for your favorite holiday window displays created by over 12 participating businesses. Voting can be done online through our Facebook page (facebook.com/racinedowntown) by liking your favorite display or in-person at participating businesses. The contest will run until the Kris Kringle Tour on December 14th. This is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and support local businesses!
