A pair of free, weekly concert series are now underway in Kenosha County Parks, with one of
them now offering performances at an additional location.
The Bristol Woodstock series presents free music at 6 p.m. each Wednesday at Bristol Woods
Park.
Each Thursday at 6 p.m., the Rhythm on the Lake series offers concerts at one of two locations.
Performances will be at Silver Lake Park Beach each week through July 18, after which it will
move to Old Settlers Park in Paddock Lake. Last year, the series was held exclusively at Old
Settlers.
Both series feature acts representing a range of musical genres performed by acts from Kenosha
County, the region, and beyond.
“These free concerts are yet another way to enjoy our beautiful county parks this summer,” said
Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman. “We’re pleased to offer free entertainment
along with the many other attractions that make our parks so special.”
Both series launched the week of June 10, with performances by Nashville-based singer-
songwriter Jed Harrelson at Bristol Woodstock and Madison-based reggae band Natty Nation at
Rhythm on the Lake.
This week’s performances include local blues artist Ivy Ford at Bristol Woodstock on
Wednesday and Milwaukee bluegrass band The MilBillies at Rhythm on the Lake on Thursday.

As part of this Thursday’s event at Silver Lake Park, a ribbon-cutting will be held at 5:30 p.m. to
celebrate the recent addition of a new playground near the beach pavilion. Members of the public
are invited to join Kerkman, Moore and others to dedicate this new space.
Kenosha County Parks Director Wyatt Moore said moving the first half of the Rhythm on the
Lake series to Silver Lake Park provided the opportunity to bring programming to another
scenic, lakeside setting. Regular beach entry fees are waived for concert goers beginning at 5:30
p.m. on performance nights.
“We’re happy to share these concerts with new audience members and beachgoers at Silver Lake
Park, as well as Old Settlers Park,” Moore said. “For those who enjoyed the concerts on the band
shelter in Old Settlers, we’ll be back in business there in late July through August.”
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. At the Silver Lake Park Beach
performances, concessions including food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and other treats
are available from the Flip Flops Concession Stand, which operates in the beach pavilion
throughout the summer. Free popcorn is offered at Bristol Woodstock courtesy of the Pringle
Nature Center.

Kemper Center and the Anderson Arts Center is offering the Music at Twilight concert series —
formerly known as Twilight Jazz — on various Tuesdays throughout the summer and early fall.
