Fresh foods, baked goods, handmade items and live music are among the many features at the 2024 Racine HarborMarket, which will launch its third season on Thursday, May 30th from 4-7 p.m. at Monument Square, Main Street and 6thStreet in Downtown Racine.
In addition to the May 30th opening, the Racine HarborMarkets will be held from 4-7 p.m. on June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, and August 11 and 22. Racine HarborMarket is a collaboration between the Downtown Racine Corporation, the City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department .and Kenosha Common Markets Inc., which also hosts the Kenosha HarborMarket in Downtown Kenosha on Saturdays through Oct. 26th.
“We are pleased to be able to bring a variety of goods, many of which are provided by Racine County-based vendors, to Downtown Racine,” said Andrea Forgianni, executive director of Kenosha Common Markets Inc. “For many makers, creators and growers, the Racine HarborMarket offers them an opportunity to sustain their businesses and it’s a way for Racine residents and visitors to truly buy local.”
Dozens of vendors including the Racine County-based businesses of Dragon Pit BBQ, Fiore Gardens and Waterford Bee Company will attend on opening night of the Racine HarborMarket.
The Racine HarborMarket will offer live music and a beer garden, said Kelly Kruse, executive director of the Downtown Racine Corp. The live music acts will be: The Forecast on May 30th; Ghosts in the Gravel, June 13; Acoustic Horizon, June 27; The Forecast, July 11; Jimmy LeRose, July 25; The Acoustic Adventure, Aug. 11; and Mark Paffrath, Aug. 22.
