Hawthorn Hollow’s Heide Observatory is thrilled to invite all aspiring space explorers to
prepare for an awe-inspiring space camp adventure. Join us for four consecutive nights from June 18 to
June 21, 2024, from 7:00 – 10:00 pm, as we embark on an exploration of the cosmos timed to capture the
midsummer sunset and the emergence of the night sky.
Explorers will have the chance to discover the wonders of our universe through engaging topics including
planets & orbits, motion, gravity, size, & density, and flight & rocketry. Take part in interactive
experiments, gaze at stars through telescopes, and unleash your creativity and imagination to capture
your experiences along the way.
This adventure is tailored for ages 8-14, with one parent or guardian welcome to accompany each space
explorer. To secure spots in this opportunity, register by June 10, 2024.
This year’s Space Camp is made possible by Stein’s Aircraft Services. Lifelong aviators, Laurie and Mike
Stein, share a passion for aerospace and understand the importance of continued education and
exploration. Along with their 2024 support is a scholarship allowing one participant to attend Space Camp
free of cost. The scholarship application form can be found at via www.hawthornhollow.org and must be
completed by June 1, 2024.
For inquiries and further information, please contact us at Observatory@hawthornhollow.org. Don’t miss
this chance to join us for an adventure that will ignite your curiosity and fuel your dreams of space
exploration!
