George’s, a cornerstone of the Racine community since its inception in 1946, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of George’s Encore on February 21st, 2024. Under the dynamic leadership of Caleb Robinson and supported by the talented Jenni Sailor managing the bar and Jeremy Gibson of Gibby’s BBQ helming the kitchen, George’s Encore is set to reinvigorate the local dining and entertainment scene.
Revitalized Tradition Meets Modern Flair
Opening its doors from Tuesday to Sunday at 11 am, George’s Encore invites patrons to indulge in a full kitchen service, including delectable daily lunch specials. The evenings come alive with live music every Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, alongside open jams every Tuesday at 7 pm, fostering a vibrant community of music enthusiasts and casual diners alike.
The venue has undergone a comprehensive makeover, featuring updated interior décor, restaurant-style seating, and a team of friendly, trained staff. The menu introduces a mouth-watering Southern Style Smoked Barbecue selection, headlined by signature dishes such as Brisket, Rib Tips, Homemade Potato Salad, and Soups. George’s Encore pays homage to its storied past while injecting a contemporary twist, offering a unique dining and entertainment experience that honors its roots.
Grand Opening Extravaganza
The festivities kick off at 11 am on opening day, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 3 pm. Guests are invited to enjoy free food and beer samples from 3 pm while supplies last, setting the stage for an afternoon and evening of celebration. Prize giveaways are slated every hour from 3 pm to 8 pm, with no purchase necessary to participate. Prizes include 2 Seltzer Walk Tickets, a $100 Gift Certificate, a dinner and drinks package for 2, a free year of Cover Charge Tickets, 2 Wine Walk Tickets, and an array of branded merchandise such as T-shirts, Koozies, Hats, and more.
The musical lineup for the grand opening features House Party at 4 pm, delivering a mix of classic rock and old school funk, followed by Weird Science at 8 pm, known for their engaging 80’s remakes.
