Register for the Fall Into Fun Festival Pumpkin Decorating Contest by October 9

Festival Takes Place October 14

 

 The Fall Into Fun Festival, presented by the City of Kenosha and the Lakeshore Business Improvement District, takes place on October 14 at Veterans Memorial Park, 5220 Sixth Avenue. The free, family-friendly event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

New this year, there will be Pumpkin Decorating and Costume Contests. Both contests are free to participate in.

 

There is a deadline for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest; register by Monday, October 9. Contest rules include: Decorate your own pumpkin at home with whatever materials you wish; you’re responsible for your own supplies. Get creative with painting, gems, glue, carving … you name it! Pumpkins should be basketball sized or smaller. Pumpkins must be brought to the festival already decorated and ready to submit. Pumpkins should arrive to Veterans Memorial Park between 10:30 and 11 a.m. the day of the event (October 14) to be placed in the display space for judging.

No pre-registration is required for the Costume Contest. Please, family-friendly costumes only. The Costume Contest will begin promptly at 11 a.m. with final judging at Noon.

 

Both contests have three age categories: Kids 12 and under; Teens 13-17; Adults 18+. Winners will be announced at the event and posted on the Go Downtown Kenosha Facebook page.
