PARTY ON THE PAVEMENT – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 FROM NOON-7PM

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 16th and plan to spend your day downtown for the 20th annual Party on the Pavement street festival presented by the Downtown Racine Corporation. With over 12 blocks filled with live music, incredible food and drinksDSC06026, street performances, shopping, games and rides, there is something for the whole family. The day’s festivities kick off at noon and run until 7:00 pm. Admission to the Party on the Pavement grounds is free, which takes place throughout downtown on Main Street from State Street to 7th Street, and all of 6th Street from Lake Avenue to City Hall.

 

“We are excited and ready for an outstanding festival filled with more live music, vendors and activities than EVER before,” said Kelly Kruse, executive director of the Downtown Racine Corporation.

If the thrill of over 15,000 attendees isn’t enough, the street performances slated for Party on the Pavement will surely get you excited. Division BMX Stunt Team will be soaring through the air on College Avenue and 6th Street. You can catch one of their shows at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Hip-Hop and breakdance group, Sweatshop Movement, will host jaw dropping dance battles and performances throughout the day on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and 6th Street and Racine Wresting will have multiple match ups from 2pm-3pm and 5pm-6pm on 6th St on the Porter’s lot.

 

Party on the Pavement has been a major destination for music lovers from all over Southeastern Wisconsin, and this year is no exception. Whether you are a fan of blues, rock ’n roll, jazz, R&B or everything in between, this year’s diverse lineup has something for everyone. With five stages of live music throughout downtown, you will be dancing through the streets all day long. Here is this year’s music lineup:
